Hosted in the lovely village of Lydiard Millicent in Swindon, each Crafty Bee Club workshop will be a fun, creative and sociable experience, lasting for 2.5 hours.

 

What to expect:

• You'll learn the step-by-step process of how to block print, gain an understanding of all the equipment needed and be given advice on the techniques to help you print with confidence. You'll see printed samples and design inspiration to help you decide on your own printing patterns and colours schemes. 

• Browse our collection of blocks and paint colours - pick your favs!

• Practice, practice, practice! You'll use scrap fabric first as this will give you chance to not only perfect your technique but to also trial colours and patterns before moving onto printing on your main fabric item. 

• Hand-print onto your chosen item (tea towel/tote bag/cushion cover) - take your time and enjoy the process! 

• Print onto an additional smaller item - choose a fabric zip pouch or cotton drawstring pouch (and/or paper gift tags or greetings cards). 

• When finished, your items will be heat set and you'll be able to proudly take your finished items home for your own enjoyment or to gift to a loved one!​​​

No previous experience is necessary - you don't need to be an avid crafter to give block printing a go!

Enjoy creating your own beautifully unique items using this traditional technique with guidance from certified block printing tutors, Julie & Emma. 

 

All materials will be provided, including high quality cotton tea towels/tote bags/cushion covers (and other fabric blanks), fabric paints in a range of beautiful colours and wooden blocks hand carved with an array of different designs - you'll be spoilt for choice! 

Refreshments and snacks will be available during the workshop and included in the ticket price.
